This project looked to comment on the fast fashion industry, reflecting on what our clothes are made from and where they originate. Based off a shirt I own, made from viscose and in Morocco, I created these 6 pieces. The strips have been decorated with henna, in patterns similar to the shirt florals, and incorporate tree texture with embroidery; this is a nod to the production of viscose material. Each piece is purposefully weathered, reflecting the way that certain clothes go out of fashion so quickly.
