'Natural Fear' (2024)
Henna on Wood, 42x59cm
Exploring my fear of death, through the lenses of the Egyptians, the Victorians, and Modern Day Society, I created a diptych illustrative work. I used natural materials of henna and wood, so the piece itself would eventually have it's own life and death. One half, with the florals, represents life, while the leafless tree side represents death. Central of the work, and connecting the two panels, is an hourglass; this represents the passage of time.
